FFCG & Kindbody Grant
Grant HerStory:
Birthed and led by women, Kindbody is a modern-day reproductive health and fertility provider, with a mission to help individuals of all ethnicities and orientations get the fertility care they need.

In an effort to make an impact within their own industry, Kindbody created a grant in collaboration with Fertility for Colored Girls, to help black, minority and underprivileged individuals access fertility and family-building services.
As a group, persons of African descent experience disparities with chronic conditions, access to care, preventive screenings, and mental health, with fertility and reproductive health being amongst these conditions.
Studies suggest black women are almost twice as likely to experience infertility as white women. Yet only about 8 percent of Black women between the ages of 25 and 44 seek medical help to get pregnant, compared to 15 percent of white women.
With this grant, Kindbody hopes to help those with historically disproportionate access to infertility care get the support they need, and to create more parity in reproductive health, fertility, and family-building care.

Finally, this grant is Kindbody's intent to stand in solidarity with the black community, and a pledge to do their part in the fight against systemic racism, and the fight towards societal equality.

Specifics
Grant Coverage
Kindbody is making an initial donation of $50,000, which will go towards covering fertility cycles (IUI, IVF, and egg freezing) for those who meet the eligibility requirements. Grantees will obtain services at a Kindbody clinic either in New York, Los Angeles, or San Francisco.
